On the first day of Hallowe'en
My true love gave to me
An owl in a rotten oak tree

On the second day of Hallowe'en

Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree

On the third day of Hallowe'en
My true love gave to me
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree

On the fourth day of Hallowe'en
My true love gave to me
Four skeletons
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree

On the fifth day of Hallowe'en
My true love gave to me
Five scary spooks!
Four skeletons

On the sixth day of Hallowe'en

Six goblins gobbling
Five scary spooks!

Twelve bats a-flying
Eleven casks a-leaning

Nine ghosts a-booing
Eight monsters shrieking
Seven pumpkins glowing
Six goblins gobbling
Five scary spooks!
Four skeletons
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters

On the first day of Halloween  my true love gave to me
an owl in a rotten oak tree

4-skeletons
5-scary spooks
6-gobblins gobbling
7-pumpkins glowing
8-monsters shrieking
9-ghosts a-booing
10-ghouls a-groaning
11-masks a-leering
12-bats a-flying

5 LITTLE PUMPKINS (Sitting on a Gate)

5 little pumpkins sitting on a gate, (show 5 fingers)

A witch came flying by, (use other hand to make a flying motion)

HA! HA! HA! I'll take one home (grab a "pumpkin")

And make a pumpkin pie (rub tummy)

Repeat until there are no more pumpkins.You can also use this for large motor or music time by changing it to "5 little children sitting in a row" etc.

Five Little Pumpkins (Fingerplay)

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate

The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late"

The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"

The third one said "We don't care!"

The fourth one said "Let's run and run and run!"

The fifth one said "Let's have some fun!"

Then whoosh went the wind and out went the lights.......and five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!
